--- Comment #4 from Kath <krazyk...@hotmail.com> ---
I have faced this bug too, let me see if I can provide more information

The colour picker widget does not select any colours if you use the button. At
first it will display pure black (#000000) in the colour history, and when you
pick a colour via the button, instead of picking the colour where you click it
will place "#000000" into your clipboard and keep the existing black in
history.
If you clear history, this black colour will go away, but no further colours
will be picked correctly.

Interestingly, Right click > Open Colour Dialogue, and using "Pick Screen
Color" will work correctly. I have demonstrated this as best as I can in a
videos I have attached

colourpicker_bug_1 shows the interaction with the black
colourpicker_bug_2 shows the Colour Dialogue too

Operating System: Fedora Linux 36
KDE Plasma Version: 5.25.3
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.96.0
Qt Version: 5.15.3
Kernel Version: 5.18.11-200.fc36.x86_64 (64-bit)
Graphics Platform: X11
Processors: 16 × Intel® Core™ i9-9900K CPU @ 3.60GHz
Memory: 15.3 GiB of RAM
Graphics Processor: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti/PCIe/SSE2

I have tried this in Wayland:
- Button picking, still broken as described above
- Colour Dialogue > "Pick Screen Color" Does not work. The "Cursor at X, Y"
does not update as I move my mouse over the screen. It will only update while I
move it on the Colour Dialogue window. It does not select a colour correctly

If there is anything further you need from me, please do say and I will do my
best to help. This is my first time reporting kde bugs so I'm happy to learn
more.
