Are you able to run qdbus org.kde.ActivityManager /ActivityManager/Activities ListActivities and get something? If you got the result, and you do qdbus org.kde.ActivityManager /ActivityManager/Activities AddActivity "TestActivity" does ListActivities return one item more?
