It seems you are using the Snap version of Kdenlive. This is a packing issue with Snap. You need to have a MLT version that includes the Glaxnimate module [MLT is a dependency of Kdenlive providing the media backend]. Whether you set the path to glaxnimate or not is unrelated in this case. You can work around this issue by using the Kdenlive Appimage or Flatpak from www.kdenlive.org/download, for both it is guaranteed that they contain a MLT with all features enabled.
