While reporting the bug I had the System settings page related to the WiFi
network I am connected to open. When exiting it, I was prompted to confirm the
changes - though I had made none. I clicked on "cancel", then moved back to the
page and, lo and behold, the setting now said "Store password for this user
only (encrypted)". It seems then that something changed the setting I chose in
the update from 5.25.5 to 5.26.0, hence the issue I experienced. I have set the
password to be stored for all users again and haven't had issues since then,
but this shouldn't have happened in the first place!
