I tried it on my computer and it doesn't use the magic lamp effect, it
does the same as meta+D. All of the windows are just going in the
corners to show me my desktop.

If you want that, you can simply use the "Minimize all"
widget/action which
plays the minimize animation when activated. That will use the
Magic Lamp
effect when you activate it.
