But but... a client shouldn't be able to crash a library... My world
shutters...

Seriously though. If I try to open thousands or million of files I wouldn't
expect a crash in libc or in the kernel. I would expect an error "out of
resources" but then I guess my program would crash because I wouldn't have been
checking for errors. Is something like that goes on here?
