STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open Discover
2. Do updates

OBSERVED RESULT
Progress is stuck and furthermore closing and reopening the app (from launcher)
spawns an additional update progress notification
EXPECTED RESULT
Progress should proceed normally
