SUMMARY
When you switch layouts from, say, Logging Editing to Effects, the main toolbar
disappears. Even if you enable the toolbar on one layout, move to another and
then move book, the toolbar will have disappeared from the original layout.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Go to Settings > Toolbars shown and check "Main toolbar". Kdenlive's main
toolbar appears.
2. Switch layout, choosing any of the layouts shown in the upper right hand
corner of the window

Toolbar disappears
EXPECTED RESULT
Toolbar should remain
