Bug ID: 462720 Summary: USB stick in printer is not recognized - Regression after last dist update Classification: KDE Neon Product: neon Version: unspecified Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: Packages User Edition Assignee: neon-b...@kde.org Reporter: michael.josenh...@web.de CC: j...@jriddell.org, neon-b...@kde.org, sit...@kde.org Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY *** NOTE: If you are reporting a crash, please try to attach a backtrace with debug symbols. See https://community.kde.org/Guidelines_and_HOWTOs/Debugging/How_to_create_useful_crash_reports *** STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. I have a printer HP Officejet Pro 6830 connected via USB (relevant here) and WLAN (I think not relevant here) 2. Switch on the printer 3. Plug an usb-stick in the printer OBSERVED RESULT The USB Stick is not recognized from KDE-Neon EXPECTED RESULT The USB Stick is recognized from KDE-Neon, as if it were directly inserted into the PC running KDE neon. See task list on the right side "Datenträger und Geräte"(translated Media and devices). SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Windows: macOS: Linux/KDE Plasma: 5.26 (available in About System) KDE Plasma Version: 5.26.4 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.100.0 Qt Version: 5.15.7 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION This worked nicely with the previous KDE-Neon version before changing to Ubuntu 22.04 LTS basis this summer(I guess). I think that this works over the usb connection to the printer, not over the wlan connection to the printer -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
