STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Run Kate
2. Hover over the various items in the Status bar, e.g. 1:1, INSERT, UTF-8,
Normal and, to a lesser extent, Output, LSP etc.
OBSERVED RESULT
No tooltips.
EXPECTED RESULT
Tooltips explaining what those items mean, or what will happen when you click
them.
