Bug ID: 463086 Summary: Description/tooltip for Peek at Desktop wording is too specific Classification: Plasma Product: plasmashell Version: 5.26.4 Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: Show Desktop/Minimize All Assignee: plasma-b...@kde.org Reporter: john....@pelago.org.uk Target Milestone: 1.0 STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Right-click Peek at Desktop/Minimise All applet 2. Click Show Alternatives 3. Observe wording also: 1. As above and choose Peek at Desktop, then hover over applet to see tooltip wording OBSERVED RESULT Wording is "Temporarily reveals the Desktop by moving open windows into screen corners". EXPECTED RESULT Wording is "Temporarily shows the desktop by moving windows aside" or similar. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Operating System: openSUSE Tumbleweed 20221214 KDE Plasma Version: 5.26.4 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.101.0 Qt Version: 5.15.7 Kernel Version: 6.0.12-1-default (64-bit) Graphics Platform: X11 Processors: 4 × Intel® Core™ i5-7200U CPU @ 2.50GHz Memory: 15.5 GiB of RAM Graphics Processor: Mesa Intel® HD Graphics 620 Manufacturer: HP Product Name: HP ProBook 450 G4 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION This incorrect text was introduced in the Show Desktop -> Peek at Desktop MR at https://invent.kde.org/plasma/plasma-desktop/-/merge_requests/1036/ . Moving the windows to the corners is only one animation that is available for use with Peek at Desktop - others are available in System Settings, Workspace Behaviour, Desktop Effects. Therefore the wording for what Peek at Desktop will do should be more neutral/generic than it currently is. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
