I'm glad i can contribute somehow, specially for my favorite software :)
I have updated it via PPA.
A side note: i have access to effects when i try to add them from the "Timeline
Context Menu" ( that's what i'm currently using as a workaround ).
Also as you suggested I have just downloaded latest AppImage, and i can confirm
that that one works just fine without problems > effects are visible. So now
seems like only PPA version has this issue.
