It looks like there are multiple issues going on. The login screen: seems like
some weird SDDM issue. Black screen after login sounds like plasmashell crashes
and journalctl output in comment 2 confirms that. Either way we can't track
multiple issues in one report. Please report login screen issues to SDDM
developers (if you use SDDM), and file a bug report for plasmashell crashing.
