            Bug ID: 467132
Summary: Offer to install proprietary NVIDIA drivers during OS
                    installation
    Classification: KDE Neon
           Product: neon
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: Neon
                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: wishlist
          Priority: NOR
         Component: Live/Install images
          Assignee: neon-b...@kde.org
          Reporter: halcy...@gmail.com
                CC: j...@jriddell.org, neon-b...@kde.org, sit...@kde.org
  Target Milestone: ---

Something that I'm missing not only from KDE Neon but many other distros (and
not-quite-distros) is the option to install proprietary NVIDIA graphics drivers
from the get-go. Ubuntu, for example, does offer this during OS installation
along with other third-party drivers and codecs and from a UX perspective I
believe this makes sense to do. Newer and more casual users looking to break
away from other OS manufacturers will have a smoother setup experience and
better first impressions. They'll (probably) be running into fewer issues when
first starting to use the system and won't have to copy-paste strange commands
from the internet into their terminal. Users who perhaps are a bit more
experienced with GNU/Linux and more comfortable configuring their system to
their needs should of course still be able to opt out of any proprietary
software.

Thoughts?
