Bug ID: 467604 Summary: Kate/kwrite unuseful wasted space that also don't allow to grab scrollbars near the edge of the screen when maximized. Classification: Applications Product: kate Version: 22.12.3 Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: part Assignee: kwrite-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: kokok...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- Created attachment 157437 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=157437&action=edit Useless space stolen by a shrinked toolbar STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. install kate/kwrite 22.12.3 2. start kwrite 3. Note the wasted space between the menu and the content window (first attachment and second attachment) 3b. of course those are meant to accomodate some content, but as far as i can see, even when shrinked to the maximum, they still takes space and it seems there is no way to completely disable them 4. for the very same reason, even when the window is maximized, if you move the mouse to the very right side of the screen, click and drag, expecting to have focused the scrollbar and to scroll, it does not scroll, because the mouse has focused the handler of a toolbar insteald of the scrollbar itself. Downgrading to 22.08.3 instantly fixes it. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
