            Bug ID: 468714
Summary: Enhancements for Photo Grouping in Image View
    Classification: Applications
           Product: digikam
           Version: 8.0.0
          Platform: openSUSE
                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: wishlist
          Priority: NOR
         Component: Albums-ItemGroup
          Assignee: digikam-bugs-n...@kde.org
          Reporter: jens_westeme...@web.de
  Target Milestone: ---

Grouping of images is a very useful feature for me. I have several images of
type .orf, .arw and corresponding .jpg and .tif in my albums and I group them
by name and can apply geo-data, tags, ratings, ... consistently.
But I have some enhancement requests (or need some help to find it if already
exists):

1. Order of grouped images.
After importing photos, I select all of them and do grouping by name. I know
how to (by selecting single images in right sequence) control this by grouping
single images, but I would like to define an order in case of multiple
groupings (e.g. .tif top, .jpg second, .arw/.orf third, ....) to always see the
developed image version first.

2. Filtering of grouped images.
If I filter for raw data, only the .arw images appear (the .orf images are
second in stack). I would like to see all raw images of all grouped images for
further processing. Always doing ungroup / group operations for filtering is
annoying.

3. Drag&Drop support for groups.
I can copy/move all images of a group within digiKam. But when I drag a group
into an external application (all 5 raw images of a series for HDR processing),
only the first image moves over. Filtering for raw (see top 2) and drag the
whole stack to an external program would be helpful.

4. Grouping along Timelaps / Burst
I don't know how this is supposed to work. The images of one bursts have
different names, grouping along date works mostly, but requires re-check.

Thanks for this great tool.
Greetings, Jens
