Bug ID: 468787 Summary: Task manager window previews are too big for all to show, making it very difficult to access all of them. Classification: Plasma Product: plasmashell Version: 5.27.4 Platform: openSUSE OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: Task Manager and Icons-Only Task Manager Assignee: plasma-b...@kde.org Reporter: r...@alum.mit.edu Target Milestone: 1.0 SUMMARY *** NOTE: If you are reporting a crash, please try to attach a backtrace with debug symbols. See https://community.kde.org/Guidelines_and_HOWTOs/Debugging/How_to_create_useful_crash_reports *** STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Open, say, 35 xterm (or whatever, but that's my use case) windows. In my case, I have 6 virtual desktops, with the windows distributed in various ways among them. 2. Set Appearance/Show small window previews when hovering over Tasks 3. Hover over the XTerm task in the task manager OBSERVED RESULT I have a 4K screen, but only maybe a dozen or so of the previews show up in the horizontal list at the bottom of the screen. There's no way to scroll left and right, so if there's a minimized one somewhere, I have no easy way to find it. That strip of previews pops down rather quickly, in any event. EXPECTED RESULT Some kind of scrollable strip that I can search through to find the window I want, and perhaps also an option to limit the size of the previews, although they are useful. Yes, this is a rather cluttered way of working, but it's how I like to work...
