While I don't know the exact behavior of the history, I have some concerns with
using it.

First, input history is generally not permanent. Whether it gets overwritten
over time or gets lost after an update/reinstall/etc, I would prefer that my
renaming rules were saved in a more deliberate and safe location so that I know
that as long my config folder and database are backed up, I won't have to
rewrite my rules or find that random file I manually backed them up to.

I don't know where the history is stored or how the application treats that
location in terms of importance (for example, is it stored in the .cache
directory or the safer .config directory?). I also don't know if the history
with my workflow rules will be overwritten if I use the renaming tool more than
"X" times with different one-off renaming rules. Is there a history limit???

This brings me to my second concern. If the history limit is large or
non-existent, my workflow rules will be difficult to find in the large history
unless I only ever use my main workflow rules.
