Bug ID: 469335 Summary: audiotube-git AUR package using outdated version of ytmusicapi; "KeyError: 'category'" on any attempt to search Classification: Applications Product: audiotube Version: unspecified Platform: Manjaro OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: major Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: j...@kaidan.im Reporter: sjiv...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY *** Just installed Audiotube on Manjaro KDE using the version hosted on AUR; it's effectively useless because I cannot search for music. It just throws an error "KeyError: 'category'" whenever I try to run a search. The terminal logging warns about using an apparently very outdated version of the ytmusicapi package (0.25.1 instead of the expected 1.0.2), but even though I updated ytmusicapi via pip (and subsequently rebuilt Audiotube) Audiotube continues to use the wrong version. *** STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Install Audiotube from AUR (in my case, `pamac build audiotube-git` 2. Run audiotube from terminal 3. Search for a video OBSERVED RESULT Audiotube complains about using ytmusicapi 0.25.1 instead of 1.0.2; on search, a small popup at the bottom appears saying "KeyError: 'category'" and no video is found EXPECTED RESULT Audiotube would use ytmusicapi 1.0.2; on search, a list of search results would be displayed SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Manjaro kernel version: 6.1.25-1 KDE Plasma Version: 5.27.4 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.104.0 Qt Version: 5.15.8 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
