            Bug ID: 469389
           Summary: Window flickers sporadically
    Classification: Applications
           Product: krita
           Version: 5.1.5
          Platform: Microsoft Windows
                OS: Microsoft Windows
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: OpenGL Canvas
          Assignee: krita-bugs-n...@kde.org
          Reporter: deadst...@outlook.com
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY

Using Krita, from the first day of usage I am seeing sporadic flickering of the
window (black frame).

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Use default Krita to work with a .kra file.

OBSERVED RESULT

Occasional black frames across the entire window.

EXPECTED RESULT

There shouldn't be any flicker.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Windows: 11 22H2 (OS Build = 22621.1635)

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

I run with HDR on, my GPU is a 3070 TI. My display is a Samsung Odyssey G7 10
bit HDR 660 nit display. I've tried some different color profiles in Krita. I
haven't noticed any different behavior. Though I don't think it flickers if the
window is not in focus, so it seems like the flicker may be in response to
interacting with the application, like maybe when the mouse passing from one
element to another. But it's not predictable.

Possibly related - If docked to half screen, pressing the windows key to bring
up the windows menu can cause the Krita window to momentarily render
incorrectly, and desktop icons will render over the window, as though it's
transparent for a frame.
