I have a gtx 760 i've tried "nouveau.noaccel=1" due to "hangs" i was getting on
wayland as well, the black screen happens due it. Don't boot with it.
Sadly i dont know a "workaround", in my case i just don't dare to click on
anything on the "panel" when i am on wayland else my pc hangs.
