The last time I had the problem the plasmashell process grew to 78gb in about 20 minutes. But I've noticed that when I turn off my display and watch plasmashell using `top` in an ssh session on another machine, it spikes to 100% CPU usage every 15-20 seconds. When the display is on, that doesn't happen, it stays at about 0% all the time.
