If you swipe on the actual toolbar then it works.
However that gives you onky a small space to do so.
I agree that after it has been common for other mobile browsers to use the
whole screen to swipe back and foreward this is kindnof of the expected
behaviour right now.
I appreciate that this is a design decision from Anglefish, but I feel that it
might be good to review if the curreny solution is still the best.
Maybe the whole screen could be made back/foreward and the toolbar gets the
current functionality to show menu items ?
