Bug ID: 472180 Summary: probability of loss of information due to wrong/poor symlink behaviour Classification: Applications Product: dolphin Version: 23.04.3 Platform: Archlinux OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: major Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: dolphin-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: elektorroni...@gmail.com CC: kfm-de...@kde.org Target Milestone: --- I am not sure if this is a bug or a change in the design philosofy. If the latter is the case, seriously you must reconsider this. STEPS TO REPRODUCE Cut some symlink file and paste elsewhere. OBSERVED RESULT Symlink files are dereferenced and originals are moved. EXPECTED RESULT Symlink files must not be dereferenced. Originals must not be moved. Just the symlink must be moved. That is the command the user intents to. Whether it references right or not, this is the problem of the user. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS KDE Frameworks 5.108.0 QT 5.15.10 -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
