Bug ID: 472737 Summary: Support overlay icons in TaskBar Classification: Plasma Product: plasmashell Version: 5.27.6 Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: Task Manager and Icons-Only Task Manager Assignee: plasma-b...@kde.org Reporter: ash...@linuxcomp.ru CC: qydwhotm...@gmail.com Target Milestone: 1.0 Created attachment 160579 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=160579&action=edit Windows taskbar with profile overlay on Chrome icon In Windows the taskbar allow you to use icon overlays. Is is used by Chrome and Edge to indicate a profile image. See screenshot. It is very convenient when you work with several browser windows simultaneously. But in KDE it does not work. It would be good to support such feature. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Open Chrome window (it will be your first profile) 2. Create another profile (if not done yet) and open window with it 3. Minimize both windows OBSERVED RESULT You cannot differentiate windows, because icons are the same. EXPECTED RESULT Would be convenient to have profile icon overlays over the application (chrome) icon to easily pick window that you want.
