On this Win 7 system I installed digiKam 5.2.0 and repeated all steps done on my previous XP system. The crash on XP caused by the lossy *.dng file could NOT be reproduced. All is fine. So please close this bug report. Sorry for making so much noise, but I really did not know that didiKam does not run on XP.
