Kid3 itself does not require Windows 10, so you could build it yourself with Qt 5 in order to run it on Windows 7. Qt 6 requires at least Windows 10, as described in https://doc.qt.io/qt-6/windows.html. At some point, I have to make the switch, and since Qt 6 is now out for quite a while and Qt 6.5 is an LTS release, this was not the worst time. The open source version of Qt 5 does not get security fixes anymore, and there have been some vulnerabilities reported for Qt.
