Bug ID: 475787 Summary: Session state should be saved more often Classification: Applications Product: kdevelop Version: 5.12.230802 Platform: Neon OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: Session support Assignee: kdevelop-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: kle...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY I reuse the text from bug #191502 which was closed in 2009, but the same problem still occurs. KDevelop crashes frequently, unfortunaley. This is only really annoying because the session state is only saved on clean shutdowns, not on crashes. This means I lose the state of opened files and open projects, and I think of project configurations as well. Please save those settings more often, preferably right after they changed, so that the session can be cleanly restored after a crash. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Use kdevelop, open a project in a session, continue to use it some time 2. Make it or the computer crash 3. Restore the session OBSERVED RESULT The newly opened project has not been saved in the session before the crash. EXPECTED RESULT The session should be saved after successfully loading the project.
