Bug ID: 475802 Summary: All apps always show on all activities Classification: Plasma Product: plasmashell Version: 5.27.8 Platform: Archlinux OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: major Priority: NOR Component: Task Manager and Icons-Only Task Manager Assignee: plasma-b...@kde.org Reporter: k...@sharparam.com CC: qydwhotm...@gmail.com Target Milestone: 1.0 Created attachment 162407 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=162407&action=edit Screenshot showing how the checkbox for "All activities" is checked on a newly launched instance of Firefox SUMMARY *** NOTE: If you are reporting a crash, please try to attach a backtrace with debug symbols. See https://community.kde.org/Guidelines_and_HOWTOs/Debugging/How_to_create_useful_crash_reports *** STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Set up two or more activities 2. Reboot 3. Open any app OBSERVED RESULT The opened app shows on all activities, without any way to make it show on only one (or fewer than `n`, where `n` is number of configured activities). EXPECTED RESULT The app only opens on the currently active activity, and it's possible to move the app between different activities. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Operating System: Arch Linux KDE Plasma Version: 5.27.8 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.110.0 Qt Version: 5.15.11 Kernel Version: 6.5.7-zen2-1-zen (64-bit) Graphics Platform: Wayland Processors: 24 × AMD Ryzen 9 5900X 12-Core Processor Memory: 62,7 GiB of RAM Graphics Processor: AMD Radeon RX 6900 XT Manufacturer: Micro-Star International Co., Ltd. Product Name: MS-7C84 System Version: 1.0 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Neither checking the checkbox for a different activity, nor the "move to activity" buttons work to stop an app from showing in all activities. This issue only seems to occur after a new boot after setting up activities. If I delete *all* activities and set them up again, things work normally until the next boot. If I create a new activity after booting, I can move apps to the new activity as normal, and it will remove it from the existing activities, but it's not possible to then move the app back to the existing activities, only to new activities created after boot. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
