Bug ID: 476954 Summary: Make background color optional to fix Latte Dock icon painting feature Classification: Plasma Product: kdeplasma-addons Version: master Platform: Manjaro OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: Picture of the Day Assignee: plasma-b...@kde.org Reporter: jan.clausse...@web.de CC: i...@guoyunhe.me, qydwhotm...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY Latte Dock has a feature that paints icons according to the wallpaper. This works well for the normal picture plugin, but not for POTD, since Latte takes the background color as reference. This could probably easily be changed by making the background color optional and putting the picture of the day in its place. It is not a POTD bug per se, but it can only be fixed from this side. I filed a bug about this years ago, but I can't find it anymore, so I am writing a new one. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Install Latte Dock, enable "smart colors based on desktop background" and icon painting by right-clicking the icons in edit mode and selecting the drop icon 2. Use POTD and change the pictures OBSERVED RESULT Icon painting does work only when you change the background color EXPECTED RESULT It should work when you change the picture SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS KDE Plasma Version: 5.27.9 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.111.0 Qt Version: 5.15.11 -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
