Bug ID: 477367 Summary: mounted samba directory breaks if first opened from portal Classification: Plasma Product: xdg-desktop-portal-kde Version: git-stable-Plasma/5.27 Platform: Ubuntu OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: plasma-b...@kde.org Reporter: regis...@tevehome.eu CC: aleix...@kde.org, jgrul...@redhat.com, n...@kde.org Target Milestone: --- Created attachment 163362 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=163362&action=edit Screenshot of the broken directory SUMMARY *** I have an smb share mounted with cifs. //192.168.1.200/Private /mnt/Private cifs credentials=/home/daninet/.smbcredentials,uid=1000,gid=1000,vers=3.0,nounix,_netdev 0 0 When I boot into linux and open doplphin I can navigate to /mnt/Private and see the files. However if I boot into linux and my first interaction with this mount is through the portal to save a file the mounted directory breaks and I'm no longer able to navigate to /mnt/Private. I can still navigate to a subfolder for example /mnt/Private/Documents The directory becomes a file with no extension. I have to umount and mount -a to be able to access the mount path again. *** STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Mount an smb share with cifs 2. Reboot and make your first interaction with the network share via portal (not dolphin). For example try to save a file there. OBSERVED RESULT You will be able to navigate to the subdirectories but not the mount directory SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux/KDE Plasma: Kubuntu 23.10 KDE Plasma Version: 5.27.8 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.110.0 Qt Version: 5.15.10 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
