I tend to agree with Natalie here. For specific use cases like that, accessing
the information is pretty easy, and we don't need at-a-glance access to it all
the time Un-actionable icons in the tray make it harder to find anything and
reduce space for things that are actionable. And if you do consider this
information always actionable (or at least useful) you can make the applet
always appear visible in the tray.
