ok, well, if it doesn't detect with lpinfo, we can't auto-detect it at this
point using the basic CUPS infra.  One more thing you could try, from a
terminal, run "kde-add-printer --add-printer" and provide the root password and
then see if it shows in the list provided.  That might indicate a clue if it
does show up.
