file association was changed during dup from 15.4 to 15.5
it seems to have been 'file associations' change by 'dup' upgrade from 15.4 to
15.4 or the upgrade allowed kde to set setting to 'default', But...
The settings in file association for inode, 'directory' was change to 'open in
separate view' and 'ask to save'
When I change back, to 'use setting for inode group' life was back to normal.
I can now navigate up, back, where ever I need to go, including something I
left out of description of issue, type a specific path into nav field, hit
enter and go there. was unable to with 'dup' setting change.
consider this issue resolved.
