To some people, yes they may be unnecessary as they never use them, but I don't think there are many people that never use them and a good compromise would be to still have them, yet... I would put them like on Windows, last in the menu: https://static.techspot.com/articles-info/1670/images/2018-08-29-image-5.png But unlike Windows, I would put "Configure display settings..." really last, so it's easier to find it even when somebody uses a non-English language and we need to fix something for them in display settings. Or when we switch from a lower resolution to a 4K resolution on a 4K monitor or TV and everything just becomes too small to read. Or we boot into / connect a 4K monitor or TV that is not near enough to us to read and we want to switch back to a lower resolution or increase the scaling. It happened to me a few time to have to come closer to read after I switched to a 4K resolution.
