Bug ID: 482520 Summary: Audio devices can have their configurations broken through the config Classification: Plasma Product: plasma-pa Version: 6.0.0 Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: minor Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: plasma-b...@kde.org Reporter: mashkal2...@gmail.com CC: isma...@gmail.com, m...@ratijas.tk, now...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY When clicking some profiles in the "show additional options" menu for audio devices, they can be configured such that they: 1) disappear from the audio applet, requiring reconfiguration in the sound system settings page 2) disappear from both the audio applet and sound system settings page, requiring reconfiguration in something like pavucontrol. Specifically, I think the issue stems from the fact that some profiles completely remove the audio device from the menu, preventing the change from being reverted. Some profiles also add items to the menu, and there is no indication about which ones add and remove items from the menu. When a device is disabled - point 2) above - there is no indication why and how to re-enable it. Filing this as minor because I think it's a usability issue rather than just a wishlist item.
