As explained, when using the wayland session, all window contents on other desktops that won't be updated due to this issue will flicker between a black frame and the last known content, and when closing and opening the grid again, it's just a black frame that remains. This is incredibly bad for the grid when non-static content is shown, like video players for example. Since wayland is now the default session for new users, this makes this issue even more imporant, because the flickering is really annoying.
