Bug ID: 483915 Summary: Unable to offset panels from neighboring screen edge Classification: Plasma Product: plasmashell Version: 6.0.2 Platform: Arch Linux OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: Panel Assignee: plasma-b...@kde.org Reporter: andydecle...@gmail.com CC: niccolo.venera...@gmail.com Target Milestone: 1.0 SUMMARY I was testing out Plasma 6 in a live system (CachyOS) to see if there were any regressions that would hold me back from upgrading on my usual system, and I couldn't achieve my usual panel configuration, because I couldn't find any way to offset panels from a neighboring screen edge. I use two panels: - on top, right-aligned, offset from the right edge - on right, top-aligned, offset from the top edge STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. create a top panel 2. try to have it right-aligned and offset from the right screen edge 3. create a right panel 4 try to have it top-aligned and offset from the top screen edge OBSERVED RESULT I could only either center each panel or shove it all the way to the edges. EXPECTED RESULT I would be able to continue using panels offset from the edge they are aligned towards. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux/KDE Plasma: CachyOS KDE Plasma Version: Plasma 6.0.2 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION I'm attaching a screenshot of my panels on Plasma 5. Note that all the blank space on the panels is unintentional -- I was hoping the panels would behave better on Plasma 6, and wanted to check, when I found that things had instead gotten worse. If anyone asks *why* I offset them from the corner: so I have a clear space to access window titlebar controls in the top right corner (the top panel is always-over, the right panel is autohide or dodge). -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
