Amarok 2.9.71: One achieves comparable functionality by having Albums context
applet enabled, dragging & dropping the album to playlist, and double clicking
the first track. It is not quite as far-reaching as suggested here, but as it
is approximately only one click more than the proposed flow in this wishlist
item, I'll declare this one has been resolved (less than 15 years after initial
report).
