Bug ID: 484871 Summary: Make it easier to revert to old default wallpaper after a Plasma upgrade Classification: Plasma Product: plasmashell Version: 6.0.3 Platform: openSUSE OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: Image Wallpaper Assignee: plasma-b...@kde.org Reporter: john....@pelago.org.uk CC: notm...@gmail.com, qydwhotm...@gmail.com Target Milestone: 1.0 SUMMARY A recent openSUSE Tumbleweed upgrade changed from Plasma 5.27 to Plasma 6.0. With that came a new wallpaper, which is fine. However, I couldn't find an easy way to revert to the previous default wallpaper. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Be running Plasma 5.27 2. Upgrade to Plasma 6.0 3. Notice wallpaper has changed 4. Right-click on Desktop and choose "Configure Desktop and Wallpaper" OBSERVED RESULT No entry for the previous wallpaper. EXPECTED RESULT An entry for the previous wallpaper. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Operating System: openSUSE Tumbleweed 20240329 KDE Plasma Version: 6.0.3 KDE Frameworks Version: 6.0.0 Qt Version: 6.6.3 Kernel Version: 6.8.1-1-default (64-bit) Graphics Platform: X11 Processors: 4 × Intel® Core™ i5-7200U CPU @ 2.50GHz Memory: 15.5 GiB of RAM Graphics Processor: Mesa Intel® HD Graphics 620 Manufacturer: HP Product Name: HP ProBook 450 G4 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION I did eventually find the old wallpaper manually, but it was tricky! I had to search the KDE Store for "mountain" and eventually found what I think was what I had before (https://store.kde.org/p/2134894). Note that I don't mind that the default wallpaper changes with a major Plasma upgrade. I just think there should be a mechanism in the upgrade to "backup" (probably the wrong term) the previous wallpaper during an upgrade, so it's easy to revert to it, using the normal user interface. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
