I opened Dolphin and went to Settings -> Configure Shortcuts to see the action associated with the Delete key. I clicked the "Shortcut" column twice to sort the data and make it easier to view. I see the Delete Key is assigned to, "Delete (using shortcut for Trash)" and the other "Move to Trash". Correct, all is working.
