Bug ID: 485553 Summary: Add colorful high-contrast Breeze cursor theme for accessibility Classification: Plasma Product: Breeze Version: unspecified Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: Icons Assignee: visual-des...@kde.org Reporter: patrick.jan...@gmx.ch CC: kain...@gmail.com, m...@nueljl.in Target Milestone: --- As I personally know multiple people who use High-Contrast cursors on Windows, I was surprised Plasma didn't have any 1st party equivalent for the Breeze cursor theme. The option to generally set cursor color was discussed here [0] and was deemed not currently feasible, that's why I propose the addition of one (maybe two?) accessibility focused versions of the Breeze cursor theme with vibrant colors to make it easier to find the cursor on the screen. The people I know using this feature on Windows all use light green preset which provides a strong contrast to anything normally displayed on screen. I'd imagine a lot of people would like to use a vibrant cursor for accessibility purposes but don't want/need any fancy third party cursor from the store or don't know of the stores existence (or know that there could be accessibility focused cursors there). The Oxygen cursor theme also provides various colorful versions of the theme, I'd imagine something similar just with the current Breeze theme. TLDR: I propose adding an accessibility focused Breeze cursor theme with a vibrant color [0] https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=478945 -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
