Bug ID: 485746 Summary: Krita freezes while trying to overwrite a file on a CIFS filesystem Classification: Applications Product: krita Version: 5.2.2 Platform: Ubuntu OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: General Assignee: krita-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: roundsoftstu...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- *** If you're not sure this is actually a bug, instead post about it at https://discuss.kde.org If you're reporting a crash, attach a backtrace with debug symbols; see https://community.kde.org/Guidelines_and_HOWTOs/Debugging/How_to_create_useful_crash_reports *** SUMMARY Krita seems to be unable to keep on while trying to overwrite a file (for updating it or replacing it) STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Open a file on a CIFS file system (like a shared Windows network drive) 2. Try to save it again 3. That's all folks OBSERVED RESULT At best, Krita freezes, at worst, the whole X11 session does. EXPECTED RESULT The whole computer should not be brought down. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux/KDE Plasma: Ubuntu Mantic 23.10, Kernel 6.5.0-27, MATE 1.26.2 (available in About System) KDE Plasma Version: N/A, how do I? KDE Frameworks Version: N/A, how do I? Qt Version: N/A, how do I? ADDITIONAL INFORMATION While trying to kill Krita, the system complained with this message "Lockdown: ftscanvhd: raw io port access is restricted; see man kernel_lockdown.7" Also, saving with a *different* name works. But I don't want to have 4985762985 versions of my working file. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
