Bug ID: 486319 Summary: Keep above other windows, only when in it's a normal window Classification: Applications Product: systemsettings Version: 6.0.4 Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: wishlist Priority: NOR Component: kcm_kwinrules Assignee: kwin-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: typing...@gmail.com CC: isma...@gmail.com, plasma-b...@kde.org Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY There currently is the "keep above other windows" property, it's useful for cases like you want to watch a video in a small window whilst doing other things. The problem is that if you set "keep above other windows" on an app, it remains always-on-top, even if you maximise the window or enter full-screen mode. When the app's window is maximised or full-screen, the always-on-top property is no longer useful and causes more inconveniences (e.g., can't temporarily see another window without minimising the always-on-top window). So, it would be helpful if there is another property "keep above other windows in window mode". This property keeps the window always-on-top, when the window is a normal (not maximised, not full-screen) window. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. 2. 3.
