Bug ID: 486527 Summary: When floating panel defloats, widgets present on it dont fully align left/right Classification: Plasma Product: plasmashell Version: 6.0.4 Platform: Fedora RPMs OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: Panel Assignee: plasma-b...@kde.org Reporter: vanr...@gmail.com CC: niccolo.venera...@gmail.com Target Milestone: 1.0 When using a floating panel, and you have widgets on it pushed fully to the side (like application launcher is by default), and the panel defloats as you fullscreen and application, the widgets do not align fully to the side. To explain a bit more. There is a difference in the amount of padding on the edges of the panel between a non-floatin panel and a defloated panel. Where defloated panel has much more padding, creating a weird look. It seems that when a panel deflotes, the widgets keep their absolute position on the panel, rather than their relative position (relative to the edge of the panel). STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Enable floating panel and put a widget (like application launcher) to the most left part of the panel 2. Use a window to defloat the panel OBSERVED RESULT Widget on the panel remains in the exact same absolute position, creating a fat padding on the side of the defloated panel. EXPECTED RESULT Widget on the panel should remain in the same relative position on the panel, so the padding on the side of the panel is always the same.
