Bug ID: 487436 Summary: kwin crash, moving/jiggling window very quickly Classification: Plasma Product: kwin Version: 6.0.4 Platform: Manjaro OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: core Assignee: kwin-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: kde....@grau.net Target Milestone: --- Created attachment 169744 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=169744&action=edit Output of coredumpctl -1 info kwin_wayland SUMMARY I recently upgraded my system to plasma 6 and now encountered my first crash of kwin_wayland STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. I grabbed the title of the settings window and move the window quickly to the left and right to check the speed of the window movements on wayland and plasma 6. OBSERVED RESULT After a few seconds the screen went black and then most of the kde windows opened again. I am happy about that :-) (The window of the gnome application timeshift, which was creating a new snapshot, did not reopen, but I guess this is another, already known problem) EXPECTED RESULT No crash in kwin. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Operating System: Manjaro Linux KDE Plasma Version: 6.0.4 KDE Frameworks Version: 6.1.0 Qt Version: 6.7.0 Kernel Version: 6.7.0-0-MANJARO (64-bit) Graphics Platform: Wayland Processors: 4 × Intel® Core™ i5-4670 CPU @ 3.40GHz Memory: 15,3 GiB of RAM Graphics Processor: Mesa Intel® HD Graphics 4600 I will try to reproduce the bug as soon as I submit this bug report. I'll also try to install debug symbols, to be able to provide a more useful backtrace. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
