            Bug ID: 487456
Summary: Ability to customize bottom panel
    Classification: Plasma
           Product: plasmashell
           Version: master
          Platform: Other
                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: Application Launcher (Kickoff)
          Assignee: plasma-b...@kde.org
          Reporter: windows2li...@zoho.com
                CC: mikel5...@gmail.com, noaha...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: 1.0

The Legacy Launcher allowed you to choose which "tabs" you wanted on the bottom
panel. (This feature would greatly enhance the practicality of the Kickoff
Launcher.)

This allowed direct access to a fully breathable menu, with easy-to-click
items.

Example (imagine these are "vertical" mouse movements):
Favorites ---> click a favorite item
Applications ---> browse through and click an application item
Places ---> click a bookmark / favorite place
History ---> click a recent item
And so on.

You could choose which tabs you wanted on the bottom panel.

To be able to customize the bottom panel for the new Kickoff Launcher would
reduce the amount of back-and-forth zigzagging with the mouse cursor.

For example, instead of doing this:
Menu ---> Places ---> cut across to the opposite side panel ---> History --->
cut back across to the other panel ---> select an item

You could do this:
Menu ---> History ---> select an item
