How about you close out the bug and spend zero more of your time & thought
about it.  I will do a clean install with latest version of Neon and not use
the install script program that "broke" the system.  I was able to get a clean
exe file for Windows apart from the company's packaged script for Linux. 
Hopefully I can get all that to work fine just using stock wine and
PlayOnLinux.

Sorry to have taken your time on a problem I caused that is not a true "bug." 
Really appreciate all that you and others do to keep the system so elegant and
functional.
