+1 for this feature. This is the only thing also keeping me from using KDE. I
tried using KDE without this but it's pretty annoying for my usage, I even
found a plugin that hacks the support for it but it feels very out of place and
doesn't work well most the time.
I'm using Gnome because of it, it's not perfect there, but at least is much
better than in KDE.
I'm software developer (mainly web, c#, go), but I know a bit of c++ (haven't
touched in years though). I'm willing to help in my spare time if I get pointed
in the right directions. I know this feature will probably be very complex to
implement, but I can try.
