STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. In System Settings, Font Management 2. Click "Get New Fonts..." 3. Choose "MS True Type core fonts by SeanParsons" 4. Click Install OBSERVED RESULT The modal that says you may have to restart apps to see new fonts appears like normal, but the MS fonts don't appear in the font list. I clicked "Get New Fonts" again, and clicked "MS True Type core fonts by SeanParsons" again, and another modal popped up saying "This item is currently in an invalid or unknown state".
